`O' Level
With the new format for Oral Communication, there is a lot of apprehension and uncertainty as to what is expected of the students and how one should conduct oneself during the examination in order to do well in it.
The first session of the workshop will be on Planned Response and the process to follow in order to it well. In the second session, you will be guided to take initiative in introducing ideas for the Spoken Interaction as well as to be spontaneous when expressing oneself.
Register by 19th February, and you can claim a 10% discount on the cost as well as get a self-study booklet on how to do well for the `O' level Oral Communication examination.

Writing: Factual Essays
This workshop is for upper secondary students.
Often, in writing essays, students are left at a disadvantage if they do not have sufficient general knowledge or possess the ability to consider different perspectives. Their essays, hence, lack substance and the power to adequately inform and/or persuade. During this 2-session workshop, students will be guided to start thinking critically about different issues, formulate opinions and learn to effectively express their viewpoints.
You will receive a 10% discount if you register for the workshop before February 19th.
Reading Comprehension
During the first session, as an introduction, you will be guided, through the use of a short video clip and still pictures, to enhance your critical thinking skills. During this session, you will also learn how to respond to the new format for the visual text.
During the second session, you will also learn to do close reading, through the use of contextual clues, language analysis and the use of characterisation. Some time will also be spent on the fundamental elements of summary-writing.
